Charge Pipe Removal N54
 

Does anyone know what would prevent the charge pipe from easily disconnecting from the throttle body? I've undone all clamps, bolts, etc and put a ton of force trying to disconnect the charge pipe from the throttle body.
It seems like something it caught under the charge pipe where it attaches to the throttle body. I put my hand under there and there aren't any clamps or bolts than need to be undone.

Any ideas? All the videos I've seen say this is self-explanatory and you simply need to undo all the clamps/bolts.
EDIT: I will be making an 1-2 hour long video after I complete the intake valve cleaning on my 535i. 335i is coming next. All the guides I've seen skip the hard parts and list the easy steps..

There is only the c-ring holding it in place at the throttle body. Be sure to pull it all the way up so it's out of the way. Also did you disconnect the TMap sensor?

I finally got it a little bit ago. Thanks for answering though!
I loosened the C-ring but it turned out that wasn't enough. I actually had to pop the C-ring off and then the CP came off much more willingly.

However, I've now run into a new issue. Any more help would be greatly appreciated! :please:
Finally about to get into the intake manifold, but I'm having trouble with this:

As you can see, that guy gets the clip off so easily. The clip pops off so effortlessly! For me, I've been pulling that clip for the last 45 minutes with no luck. I even broke the clip part off and it still won't slide off... Any ideas?
Its weird that the clamp itself is broken yet the clip seems to be super-glued on there! I feel like an idiot cause I flew through most of the removals, but I've gotten stuck on 2 different things that have taken me like 5 hours to figure out. :o :(

You needed to push down on the clip part and wiggle it out. Some of the connections are a little tight unless you disconnect them all the time. You probably need to use a small pick hand tool to lift the tab up while pulling the plug towards you. Take a pic of the clip and it sounds like you broke the part you need to push down on to disengage the holder.

I'll get a picture and post it tomorrow. I've put everything away for the night and will be back at it early tomorrow.
Yupp that is the part I broke though. I was using a flat-head to lift the clip and I started pulling the clip pretty hard and it wouldn't budge - that's when the part you push down snapped off.
They're probably melted on there from this damn Houston heat! I'm sure they haven't been touched since the car was manufactured, so 6 years of sitting in a 100F Texas garage probably did the trick! :(
