Changing oil after complete cylinder head/valve train swap
So I had my entire cylinder head/valve train completely swapped on my n52 engine for the lifter issue a few months back. They changed the oil twice in the process of installing the cylinder head. Previous to me going in my oil check Idrive had 5k on it and they did not reset it.
It is now down to 2500 or so, coming due based on that but being that they just changed oil a few months ago for this cylinder head I was planning on not going for another 5k or so and thinking they just did not remember to reset the oil change idrive.
Any reason on driving with a new cylinder head you would want the oil changed sooner the first time?

Mainly to ensure any residual particulates from the machining processes are thoroughly removed from the system.
