My Ride: BMW 525 D Touring Metalic saphire black Black leather Panaromic sunroof Nav prof with bluetooth active steering HiFi system Xenon +adaptive lights
Thumbs up

I wonder if the following is possible and what it wil cost.
I'm a Belgian guy and I've bought a 525 touring in Germany.
The navigation is the professional one.
I have only three choices for lanuage setting German, French and English.
That the language for the iDrive menu and control is in English is not a problem but I would like to have the navigation in Dutch. The DVD is for Europe and I believe the Dutch manguage is included because the owner manual of the DVD also includes Dutch.
Does anybody has an idea haow this can be done.

Thanks,

Geert

Welcome. And, unfortunately, if the language is not available through iDrive, then it is not available.

Hi Solan No1

My reply has nothing to do with message but with your name

My family name is Solana. We all have a family company which name is Solan Co. Ltd in Spain..Curious coincidence.

Talking about languages, Solana means "Sunny place" in spanish.

I would like my car menu to have also spanish as an option

Kind regards

Thanks all, that's what I thought. No problem English is fine for me. It just would have been a nice to have to have it in Dutch.

I got some great news.
I went for an update of the software and now I have the iDrive in Dutch.
So yes it's possible to change the languange even if it's not available in the iDrive. You just need to do a update of the software.
