Red face

my car has seen the frist and worst winter this past year and have lots of small liitle chips on my hood. I was thinking of wrapping it in a carbon fiber vinyl wrap. Been looking at the internet and researching it and very curious . Just wanted to know what everyones thoughts are about it. I dunno if it would make the car look ghetto or rice-ish?? thanks for any feedback.........

Great excuse too bad I can't use that for my roof

I think CF vinyl wrap of the hood is ok, as long as you do it tastefully. I don't know how much it is to wrap it, but I think you might as well add a few extra 100s and get a CF hood though - just doesn't make sense to wrap the hood in CF, when you can get a hood made of real CF and it will actually balance the weight distribution better in your car by reducing the weight up front...

thanks v........well a wrap is a fraction of the price of a real CF hood and hell nah my wife will not let me get it either, lol. I was never a big fan of the diff color hood from the rest but the chips are just getting on my nerves and thought to wrap it. And of course it would be a good quality and would still keep the luxurious look. And of course, if I did do that, i was thinking of doing the roof too

i think its kinda too much for a 5er - just get the hood repainted and do the roof alone IMO

might do the roof to see what it looks like and if it looks good then a possibility for the hood.

Yup, winter six up here in the north. Hopefully I can get a winter beater this year.

+1 - CF hoods don't do it for me on the E60 (yes I know Praisethelowered would disagree, but he is a shop owner so his car is part rolling ad and it does look cool)
