I just had my CDV valve replaced and it feels like I am driving a new car!
The clutch is sooooooooooo much more direct and it feels like a clutch should feel. Amazing what such a small modification can do.
Highly recommended to everyone with a manual!!!!!!!!!

Awesome! I'm glad you did... Ya the drilled out CDV or replacement is A HUGE improvement on BMWs... I've never tried it on the E60 but on the E39 it was big. More linear... no more bottom emptyness then bite.
Yup anyone with a Manual BMW and has a CDV needs to get it replaced.

Will doing this void the warranty? If not, will a BMW service tech do this for me on my service schedule?
I don't want to mess with it myself and screw something up. ALso is it replaceable if I don't like it?

I have watched the entire process and its rather easy.
I paid $50 to get it done, but frabkly, I could now easily do it myself.

You can just put the original valve back if you want. The replacement valve looks exactly the same, however, the clutch feels different, so I assume someone who knows BMW manuals could tell.

It'll void the Clutch warranty if they catch you with it... they'll know right away once they hop in and move the car. You can feel the difference. So like said... if you need clutch warranty put the original one back on.
