The cars with non nav single slot CD player in the dash can they be coded to play mp3 files?
I find it a bit odd that a 'modern' cd player cannot play mp3/wma files by default
as even my old Jags (alpine unit 1994 vintage)multichanger could just about read and play mp3 although to be honest it did struggle and would not read CD-RW discs.

No doubt I will be corrected if I'm wrong, but I think that post 2005 cars can be coded for mp3's, but earlier cars cannot.
