Hey everyone,

I recently put a regular CD into my E60 w/ nav and the iDrive screen showed me the track title whille playing the CD! I was in shock at first (I don't have MP3 capability) because it only seemed to have worked on ONE disc that I own... none of the others. I burned this disc from a bunch of MP3s a while bac...

Does anyone know the procedure to burn a CD so that the info text would come up? Is there a sure method for doing this?

Wow it showed up on a 2004 car? Interesting... did you get a new Progman Update? Cuz I've CDs with text title and none has ever shown up on the E60 but they all show up in the Lexus.

Thanks for everyone's input, I just got the car and I'm not yet sure when the Progman was updated. But yes, it is an 04 model. I'll look up the software version and post it later.

I don't think it's a software update thing -- I'm pretty sure that (all?) 2004 cars are able to display CD text as long as they have nav and you use the in-dash CD slot (not the changer...)
