CCC/CIC fail symptoms and repairs
Anyone used Logic7 in Spring Texas to repair your CCC/CIC unit?
Shipped mine off out of the 07 black car. $395. Flat rate for repairs.
Some info that might help others:
The symptoms I initially had for a month or so was the XM radio would fail. Like it was a antenna problem. Very intermittent. It progressed to not being able to change channels (it would play the last source/station), then sources could not be changed. Still had audio. During a weeks time it got worse quick. During this I pulled codes that showed power supply issue to CCC. Left for a 3k mile trip last week and wouldn't you know the entire iDrive died about 500 miles out! At that point the screen shows a constant reboot thru the BMW logo, no audio, nav, etc. The iDrive knob spins free also.
I looked at Android retrofit screens and would like to do one some day but the way I see it, your CCC or CIC system needs to be working first. Am I assuming this correctly after looking at wiring/bus info thru the interface harness? I'll report my experience with Logic. Mine is supposed to be repaired before end of week.
I would appreciate any input or experience. Thanks

BF is more active on the 5 forum but no useful info! I'm spoiled with the 8 forum for many years! Serious stuff there and a lot of knowledge.

I have used them I think it was almost exactly one year ago. My CCC just cycled through the loading screen and would not turn on, I mean I still drove without it for about 3 months but then couldn't change the oil without the iDrive. I'd say they are pretty good they repaired mine and when I asked what was wrong with it some ram sticks have gone bad which seems like a fix I could have done myself, but I didn't want to play with those electronics, too expensive!

Thanks for posting this OP -
I haven't heard of LogicSeven (These guys, right? BMW F SERIES AUDIO SYSTEM LOGIC 7 | BMW LOGIC7) ... but they're close to me and I am in need again of a new CCC.
My original went back about 2 years ago, and had a local BMW coder pop a used one in and code it. Was a hassle to get my idrive knob, etc. enabled on it since it came out of a differently-coded 3 series. Wasn't much cheaper than $395 to be honest, and this mail option seems more straightforward.
