Everyone,

How long did it take for you to get your CCA rebate check from BMWNA? I mailed my rebate form to BMWNA on 03/21 and just wondering when to expect the $$$.

Thanks in advance for chiming in on this topic.

I received one in as few as 4 weeks and others took 6 weeks to just a bit more, just depends upon the paperwork at BMWNA at the time.

Mine was a couple of months. When I called to inquire about the delay, they told me there was no tracking system for following the rebate process. They advised me to submit my claim via registered mail so I had proof of when I mailed in the forms. It was a little scary but the check ultimately showed up.

Wow, didn't know it takes that long to receive a check. Slightly off topic but still has to do with the rebate submission ...

BMW CCA asks for: 1) completed check request form, 2) Proof of Purchase (copy of bill of sale or lease agreement), and 3) Odometer Statement. What exactly constitutes the "Odometer Statement"? Will the odometer reading that is written on the Proof of Purchase / Bill of Sale be acceptable? Or is there supposed to be a separate document entitled Odometer Statement (separate from the Bill of Sale) that should have been included in the car's purchase paperwork? I wasn't a CCA member when I bought my 550, so this is my first go-around with this rebate request for my M5. Can anyone chime in?

Yes....in my case I submitted the odometer reading that was written on the Proof of Purchase / Bill of Sale

Probably varies by state but here in Louisiana, we do get a separate document called an Odometer Statement. It is basically a signed document acknowledging that this is the current odometer reading and it is accurate at the time of title transfer. A bit redundant in my mind, but I have received one for every car I have purchased.

As SFBimmer points out, if you don't get a separate odometer statement, the sale/lease document with noted mileage at the time of sale should work just fine.
