Default car seems to steam up

Hi.
Now the cold is here the car seems to steam up inside, we drove it this morning, parked up and the glass has been steamed up all day. We have the air con on even in the cold as it helps to keep steam off the glass when you drive. Any ideas?

I wonder what was happening in the car..... :-)

Vents near the windshield may be closed. Is the recirculation button pressed?

It was on fresh air, not recirc, vents near windscreen? I can't open them, they are electric. Are you in Boston USA by the way?

Air vents are electronically controlled; it's possible there is a malfunction in those electronic flaps that open and close.

What happens when you hit the front defrost button?

I don't live in the Boston city, but in the suburbs.

My '08 528xi does that to some extent. Under certain conditions, the windshield will slowly fog until I press the windshield defrost button & let it run for a few seconds. Then over the course of 10 or so minutes driving it will slowly fog up again. When I ran a full check on the car with my Bavtechnic, it reported a fault with a fog sensor, I think it's built into the rearview mirror mount. I looked up a replacement sensor, and I decided to use the defrost button once in awhile for the cost of the sensor!

I hit the windscreen defrost button now and then when it trys to steam up when we are in the car.
The Boston thing, it was just we got married in Boston gardens, opposite the cheers bar, all them years ago. We are going back next year. Watched the red sox, but us brits have no idea about it, but was fun. They gave us loads of free stuff and put the wife's picture up as we had her in the full wedding dress with a red sox baseball cap on, lol.
Our friends live in Cambridge.
