Last Tuesday i dropped off my 545i off to the dealership because the battery kept draining overnight. When I got there the dealership ran out of loaners and had to give me a rental Chrysler 300. It smells like a cheap motel room. I really didn?t complain because i figured i would have the car for a day or two. Well now they been having the car since Tuesday and the techs can't find what was draining the battery completely. I got a call this morning from the service guy saying it was my idrive screen. it was causing a massive drain on the battery when the car turns off. He said I won?t be able to get another week or two causes the part is coming from Germany. I?m just so frustrated with everything, just had to get it off my chest.

Sorry to hear of this, but at least they are taking care of it. Hey, don't knock it, some of my fondest memories occurred in cheap motel rooms!

Since they are going to have to keep your car so long, call and ask them if they could swap out your loaner for something else. If they have another or can plan it ahead, they should be able to do it.
