I fueled up my car today after I had less than a gallon left. 93 octane. When I started the car I gave it a tiny bit gas to get off the lot and the car was jerking forward, as if you were pumping the gas pedal. The car ran fine after that and I don't think the engine is damaged or nothing but I was just wondering why this happened.

Thank you

Some areas of the country are still experiencing short supplies and gas station tanks are running at very low levels. Is this a station you fill up at regularly? If the problem recurs you may have picked up a bad tank of gas.
