my 530i got shunted while parked on Tuesday. the car was parked with steering on full lock and this guy hit the protruding wheel square on at around 35 mph, so you can guess the wheel is pushed right into the inner guard, 19' 172 badly cracked and bent back around 30 degrees. just as i was enjoying my new vredestein sessanta fronts too. great thing is he came looking for me to apologize and give me his insurance details so I guess I was lucky. now have to drive this shitty hyundai jeep hire car while it's in the dealers. this ever happen anyone?

ive only got in one accident and that was a hit n run.. on me tho.. i was in my e46 and some punk kids half drunk in a bronco slamed my rear passanger side and they decided to take off.. as for me i was like FAK THAT! so i went after them .. car all smashed n all.. i called 911 while i was chacing them and within 2 min i had like 5 cop cars and the police helicopter around me and the police with guns drawn on the bronco! lol.. what made my night despite my accident was that the police called the parents of the kids and one of there moms came out all screaming and even the cop looked away and was like dayyymmmm lol!
and while the car was in the shop i was stuck with a sh!tty rental as well .. good times

i didn't get any, didn't have my phone and the car got picked up shortly after by the recovery truck. if you can imagine the drivers side front wheel straight, and the other wheel sticking out about 30 degrees with the wheel pushed right into the wheel arch. i guess the steering arm and front shock are screwed. the totally amazing thing is that the bodywork didn't pick up a single scratch.

just spoke to the dealer, steering arm, track rod, etc all getting replaced but they tell me the wheel is fine. would you guys be happy with that? do you reckon the wheel should be replaced if it sustains an impact sufficient to bust up the front end?
