i waited freakng over 2 months for a service~ today was the day so i took my car

to dealer,i don no which sw version i had,mines 2/04 production and never ahd

any upgrade, i thought california doesnt have version 15 yet but i asked him which

version they have and he said latest 15. so i was happy about that. i also told him

accelration delay and brake, steering wheel noise. but i forgot to tell him nasty

smell from air condition. They gave me a silver x3 3.0 for a loaner vehicle. the car

has no sunroof, no xenon, fake leather seat and is a gas eater~~ so im not happy

wit my loaner vehicle. wish they fix all the problems~ I'm already missing her :'(

I took my 545i in for the emission recall (mandatory in CA) on Tuesday and it was completed today. The SA told me that I have CIP version 13.3 because version 15 had been "recalled" by BMW. I had a X3 2.5 loaner with the panoramic sunroof and it was a gas eater....

I haven't had any problems, everything seems to be working fine - maybe it's just too difficult to install as it did take an extra day.

Also, I take back what I wrote earlier about the acceleration lag being gone with V15. It's definitely still there. Maybe just because I have been taking it easy because of the weather lately though.

Recalled my butt! You're SA is clueless. HE may have forgotten how to install the latest E60 SW from his CIP 15 and so he installed whatever SW version is on CIP 13.3.

15.0 - 15.2 are all the same for the E60, and there is no recall.

I was told by my dealer in Vegas that V15 has bugs and that 13.3(?) was the latest version for now... My dealer ihas been very good for what its worth...
