A few years ago I found a good how-to on getting INPA set up. Wasn't perfect, most of the links were broken, but I'm sure it's still out there if you look hard enough for "INPA BMW install", etc.

I currently have mine set up on win10 without any issues. If you are not savvy with computers than I would set it up on an older OS.

IIRC you have to emulate a prior OS environment - so as long as the windows OS version you have can emulate the prior windows 97 (or whatever it was), OS environment - it should work.

I had a hell of a time with windows 7 because IIRC it's the one windows version that doesn't emulate the prior OS.

INPA was definitely one of the more PITA installs I've done on a machine.

yea I was having a heck of a time getting it installed on my laptop, the only other thing I have that I maybe could use is my tablet but it is a surface 2rt so im not sure what windows its running and for all I know it would be harder to install on that than im having on this. so a update as to how its going for me is- using mikes easy install or whatever its called I was able to install the software on labtop, from what I can tell without hooking it up to the car all the programs are working, well they at least run which is farther than I have ever gotten before but at the end of the install there was a screen that popped up saying that two drivers had failed to install, in the files I downloaded there was a notepad file labeled driver update with a link to this site, has anyone ever had to use this site/method before?
