Unhappy Can't Get Headlight Cover Cleaned

I have some scuffs or who knows what on my lens covers that I can't seem to get off.

I have used car cleaner polish (that used to work in the past) and a plastic lens cleaner from an auto parts store but to no avail.

Should I use one of those repair kits with the fine grit sandpaper?

Upon closer inspection this morning, it appears that whatever that is its on the inside of the headlight cover.

thats not a big deal Bro.. go to the hardware and grab 1500 , 1800. 2200 wet sand paper.. start with the 15 then 18 step it up to 2200 or higher.. polish after.... it will look brand new....just make sure u use plenty of water while sanding.. when i was in jr high school a long ass time ago ( 1974 lol ) we used to make projects out of plexiglass and use to sand and polish the cut edges,, after wet sanding and buffing,,,,, it looks like glass,,,

I understand. The headlight lens repair kits at the auto parts stores are exactly what you just described. I think the damage might be on the inside of the lens but maybe not.

No that's an optical illusion. Not possible

Just what I said. I don't like to repeat myself. So let's leave it at that. I've done enough headlights professionally to know. Find the DIY's
Take the headlight out, wetsand (400, 600, 800 grit) it and clean it well with dishsoap after, let dry.
Then go to walmart and pick up a can of rustoleum laquer for less than $5
Rust-Oleum 1906830 Lacquer Spray, Clear, 11-Ounce - Amazon.com Rust-Oleum 1906830 Lacquer Spray, Clear, 11-Ounce - Amazon.com

Just did this for a set of headlights a few months back for a friend and we were both very pleased. Shiny like new. You have to let the lights dry for a while, i would say 24 hours.
