If either suspension or warrantee would be affected, then ask them this:

What tyres would your car have been delivered with if you ordered it with M172 19" rims?

Answer - NON runflats (because you cant RF in that size).

Next Question-
Would they have changed the suspension for these rims?

Answer - NO

Case closed!

Does this mean they are no 19inch runflats (and hence explain why I don't have them?)

After all they ship the E60 with a non-RFT 16" option (same suspension that I and others have), and the M-division are happy to put 19" non-RFT's on their model.
And what dangerous machines they must be!

Scarily the 19" sizes are available in Dunlop DSST (Runflats) - it may only be a matter of time before they are OEM!

Is that a recently introduced option from Dunlop?

When I got my 172's there were no 19" run flats. As you can imagine, I was very upset
I had to settle for PS2's..

So how many tyre dealers will be carrying these on the shelves in case you need a replacement - not many IMO.

So great, you can drive on the run flat to the dealer, but when you get there you might as well leave your car for a couple of days cause you aren't going to be able to swap the tyre fast.

is this progress I ask you ??????
