Can you remove the exhaust on the 535i?

Get dci's and take the engine cover off.

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.

You don't want to pull the engine cover off, this will create an ugly noise... I had mine off for a few days and it was very loud. All you can hear at idle are the injectors and a lot of ticking, no turbo sounds. Down pipes should increase that sound though.

If you get an Intake and nicer flowing exhaust starting with Downpipes, you should notice a sound and power increase since you are helping the turbos breathe better. I can get you started with those parts also.

A full exhaust and catless downpipes will allow you to hear the turbos a bit better.
