I wanted to order the hud without the Nav. I thought I remember someone saying here that they did order it like that. I just want to confirm that this can be done in the US and on the new R6 525i.
Thanks

That's true. I wish it was otherwise. I believe that if others could order HUD wo NAV that the menu would be more original than giving us just four choices, IIRC, of info available to HUD.

I want to keep this alive because a few people have said BMW now let's you order it, in fact the guy had said that he didn't like the fact the he had Hud without the Nav. I should try to confirm through the dealership.

i would like the option to order separate but on the BMW USA website it clearly says you need NAV to order HUD... but let me know if you find otherwise...
FROM BMWUSA:
Head-Up Display
Head-up Display(HUD)
Requires On-board navigation system

I test drove a car at a dealership that had HUD without Nav. However, when I ordered my car through ED the dealership told me that I had to have NAV (which I don't want). There was someone who posted afterward that is from Canada that said he had HUD without NAV.
Sounds like a country by country thing. Too bad, the HUD is awsome and would save me roughly 4 tickets a year!

My Ride: 530iA Silver Grey , black interior. Premium Package, Navigation System, Head-up Display, Radio Satellite, Adaptive Xenon Headlights. AC Schnitzer Front Lip, H&R springs, Rear red reflector, All season Floor mat,
IMO it's kinda pointless to get the HUD without the NAV. Without the NAV you can only see the speed of your car in the HUD, and in addition most of the time i have a hard time looking at the speed of the car in the HUD as i'm not sitting in a right position.
Just my 2 cents...
