I know this has been covered before but I want to confirm this. I know someone on this Forum in Canada has the HUD without the Nav. But for some reason my guy at the dealer says I still have to Order the Nav. Does anyone here know for sure if I can Order the HUD without the Nav?
I know it works better and has more funtionality with the Nav but I have a different set-up idea that I am going to do.
Peace

HUD and NAV go together. HUD was only available with NAV in '04. Check with the BMWUSA.com site and try to build one without NAV and see what the options are.

I don't think so, both options always go together.. IMO even if it's possible, it is pointless to get it as you only see your speed at the HUD.. You're gonna waste $1000 for that..

I think for the US it's only together, but in EU it's two seperate things.

I Didn't ordered the HUD with my 545 because the HUD display looks kind of strange on a BMW, the driving position simply doesn't require some additional display on the windshield, it might be helpful with the navigation instruction but since i bought the car back to last august, i only use the navitation for couple times.
I had the HUD on my 2000 corvette and it work much better on the vette because of the seat position.

I am in SA and ordered HUD without NAV(as I don't really need it). I would like to see more info than just speed and warning signals, and just hope that future software upgrades might introduce some new options like:
rev counter
range
light settings eg fogs on/off, high/low beam
etc
