I just bought 08 528i (e60) however it didnt come with navigation. I was wondering if I could install navigation on this car without interfering other options thats already
installed including but not limited to ipod/usb adapter, aux and sirius sattelite radio.

Which parts are needed to installed the navigation? is recoding necessary? would it void warranty?

If you mean BMW navigation I want to say no, as I have asked them and they cannot do it.
But i am sure someone may have figured it out.

Not sure where you're based but according to the BMW UK website if your car has no sat nav it can have business nav retrofitted. If it has business nav it can be upgraded to the professional version. It would certainly need to be coded by the dealer even if you had it installed elsewhere.

You're best off calling your dealer with your VIN and asking them what your options are.

do a search. ALL the information has been posted here before. I did the retrofit to professional nav having none to begin with. Yes it requires coding. You're looking at $2-3k depending on how many of the parts you can source on eBay- and from what I was told at the dealer, they're starting to VIN-encode the CCCs, so a used one will not work anymore.

next time, I'll just keep searching until I find another car with the nav already.
