Hi everyone-

I am looking at a 2006 BMW 530XI coming out of Florida off of ebay and wonder of someone would be good enough to look at the BMW service history. In addition to making sure it's been properly taken care of, I'd like to know if there are any accident notations, etc. I've only got a couple of days to send the $$, so thank you for the help in advance! I suspect that this may be a lease return, so if you see anything interesting, let me know.

first off, to the forum. Might want to post the ebay link or just easier the VIN number. Not sure if your local BMW dealer can check history per VIN number, but give them a call and check...also try using carfax.com with the vin...

godd luck with your purchase, good choice with the e60

Hi-

Thanks for your input. The VIN is in the subtitle and unfortunately my local dealer will not post up the service history.

Carfax shows 5 records, it'll cost you $30 bucks to get the full report

Has anyone ever found good info on Carfax? I'm sure the info on it is pretty accurate but I'm always leary that it has enough info.

Once, I had someone look up my old G35 that had to go the dealer about 55 times over 3 years. Of course, Carfax showed hardly any info other than the original owner and in-service date. There was never any wreck damage with my car to report before me or after. I was the second owner

I'm just curious as I'm looking to buy an E60 soon.

I'll bet CarFax doesn't even catch 40% of all serious repairs. They scan state DMV records; if the info isn't there it doesn't make it into the CarFax report. How many people don't report their damage to DMV?

How does this help? Isn't this just a way to look up parts?
