Well, I personally cannot. I need to call my therapist.

BMW presents its car to you Americans ($60000 is a ridicolous price - for ?38k I can buy a full optional Mini CooperS, not a 5 series) and are you here to pretend folding mirrors ?
Do you know how many people here are driving a 520d with folding mirrors instead of a 550i without them ?

I wonder how many 550i you would have if you had to pay them $125k .

+1

I am glad to hear that the low price and prevalence of 550s in the US is due to poverty pack configurations. I am just jealous.

I fold the mirrors everytime I park. It's automatic for me to hit that little button, just like it's automatic for me to have to turn off the vents everytime I start my car. Once I forgot to unfold my mirrors, but they automatically opened up after a few feet in drive mode. One of those little things that annoy us about our beloved e60's

A little help. I have an '06. Are you saying the mirrors will automatically unfold if folded in manually? I tried it today and it didn't seem to work??

Having lived in Europe I can see why you would want folding mirrors as the streets and parking spaces are very narrow compared to here. Outside of maybe Manhattan I see little use for folding mirrors in the US. My wife's Range Rover has folding mirrors and we never use them.

And as for turning off your vents before you start your car every time...................... Don't forget to touch wood and throw salt over your shoulder too.

Yes, the mirrors will UNfold after driving a few feet. Might be a new feature in the 08 LCI's. Any other members try this or epxerience this?
