For some time I hear a noise in the area and apparently comes from the two buttons on the signal turn lever. ![](http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/38/dscn1189d.th.jpg)
I want to disassemble it and find a solution to fix the problem.
I thought that it may spread along the red line.![](http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8858/dscn0505d.th.jpg)
Can anyone confirm or give me an idea? I can do that without to dismantle the steering wheel?

Probably cheaper to replace it with a used one. Once the steering wheel is off and the column trim is removed, the levers are easily removed by taking out the two torx screws holding each one in. Just make sure to disconnect the battery before unplugging any airbag.

Are you sure the noise is not coming from the buttons on the steering wheel itself? I have never heard of the turn signal lever buttons making noise but if you run your fingers across the steering wheel buttons you can feel a bit of movement.

This noise was bothering me for the LONGEST time before I finally figured it out. Just stuck a tiny piece of black electrical tape underneath the "check button" and it stopped the rattle.
