On U.S. spec cars comfort seats are in Dakota Leather (stand alone option or incl in Premium pkg). Ventilated seats require NASCA leather.

With the German configurator it seems to be no problem.

In the UK, comfort seats are still only available with full leather.

Hello, what is a good reason to ask such a question?

Thanks ipp for the answer. That's what I'd say, also.

The reason to such a question is, that the Finnish car tax law did just change, quite dramatically.

We used to have a 100% car tax but the new law goes with the CO2 emissions
(CO2's emissions divided by 10 plus 4 %).

I did order my new car before the new tax law and since it's a (520dA) with really low CO2 emsissions
(136 + autotrans=149) the tax did go down a lot - minus 7.740 Euros and that is 12,3 %!

The commercial treaty says, that the price of the exchange car (my current 525iA) will be lowered
in comparableness's to the new car.
I just learned yesterday that this comparison is only made by the base cars, without extras.
In this case my current '05 525iA vs. the new LCI MY '08 520dA.

OK, so the car prices did go down but no one knew what will happen to the also car taxed factory
extras like sport/comfort seats, PDC, Hi-Fi's etc.

First BMW Nordic did not lower the price for the extras, my car dealer said that they would do it in the spring.
But now I learned that they will do it this week!?

So of course, the payment did go down and now the extras will also go down also, so my budget will
maybe hold not only the Sport seats but even the electric adjusted Comfort seats.

What a fu**ing mess, but I will stay though!

PS. I have leather seats in my current car, but I don't like them at all, therefore the leather/fabric combo.

I think comfort seats in fabric/leather will be the most comfortable 5er seats ever. Go for it!

I'm actually satisfied with the standard seats I have now, except for the leathers.
Hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

A 520dA is not a exactly rallycar or a F1, so let's see when I get the new quote...
