Question:

I've always used the "Information Search" for things like restaurants, museums, etc... in my NAV, but my wife and I noticed something last night while looking for a restaurant. The screen was covered with a bunch of crossed forks and knives signifying nearby restaurants. Then we looked for other things, and notice different symbols for them, to include a BMW symbol for a nearby dealer. I've had the car since Oct, and have never had this before. Is this something that BMW might have done remotely? Why would this happend all of a sudden appear?!?

Anyone?

The map will always show icons of the last information item you selected.

BMW can't remotely do anything to your car (they can't even unlock it!)

You probably increased your zoom on the nav window. The more magnified your view, the "symbols" appear.

Its been on my 04 car way before yours was built, so certainly no remote upgrade.
