I am at my wits ends with my wife's e60 545i. Headgasket went so torn engine to bare block and rebuilt properly but wouldn't start. Work pussed it outside in rain and so filled junction box up with water and flooded DME, valvetronic module and ISM. When I started to dry it out I found that 2 pins on DME were badly corroded and broken off in loom plug so think that was the none start issue as was start control and CAS signal pins. I have no replaced ISM and DME but still have no communication with DME or valvetronic module. I have less faults but still no EML light on dash and wont crank? Valvetronic module was dry and no signs of any water ingress at all so refitted. I am getting transmission error on idrive and many fault codes due to no DME communication. I have dump a load of cash and time and my heads completely fried lol....anything I am missing or any direction anyone can possibly point me in please? Sorry for long post but that's basically where I am at with it!🤔🤧😓
