I wanted to give you my experience when my a/c was throwing hot air. I could not figure the issue out. I too was getting the AUC error but it has nothing to do with getting cold or hot air in the car so I did not fix the sensor. I knew my compressor was working because it was kicking on. I was getting about the same readings you were so I was puzzled. How is my compressor working and my readings are so off? I did and evac and recharged then checked for leaks. Everything worked as it should but no a/c and reading were still crazy. I decided to change the compressor but forgot to go through my checks. I left the compressor alone and went to the heater control valve. I found that my hoses were hot when it should not have been. I took it apart and found my issue. Bought a new one put it in and my problem was solved. I still have the sensor issue (something that is easy to fix but I don't know what it is for so not fixing it) but everything works. I'm not saying this is your issue but it's worth checking out. By the way I have an 05 and this happen to me a little over a year ago

Thanks Sean, How did you check the heater control valve ?

When the car was at operation temp I measured the temp of the hoses by an infrared thermo.(can use your hands). When the a/c is on the hoses should be significantly different temps.

As I was reading the posts again the way you are measuring your PSIs are wrong. You always measure with the car on never with the car off. Your readings are showing you don't have any freon in the compressor (or very little). Your high side should be reading in the 200s. I would fist evac and test for an hour for leaks. If it holds refill. Then go from there.

You asked can you check your compressor. Yes you can. YouTube has videos on how to yes it. But below is how.

Disconnect power
Unplug the 3-prong plug on the compressor
Set your multimeter to ohms
Measure and record the resistance (ohms) measurement of each winding

You lowest reading should be below 10 ohms second reading should be 2-4 times the first and the third reading should be the sum of the first 2 readings

I woke up this morning and read your post and decided to not go get the 04 parts. I've been told compressor from day 1. But I just have a feeling it may be something else. So I appreciate your input. I've read a lot of posts that changed compressor and it wasn't it.

I have a 2008 528i here that needs some tranny work so I'm will just interchange the parts that fit and replace them when I bang in a new tranny.

Ok guys I have a few days I can spent at this and I'm thinking of doing a complete knobs guide to e60 AC diagnosis. I have a load of manuals and how to's, half a case of cider, and a stubbornness to just keep at it until I have it completed. I have not found anything that is in a series of. Hey ya fucking knob, check this then this. And if this was that do this (take a cider break) then do this.

Both hoses are warm as an ostrich's hole in Texas.
