I am seriously considering getting a 750Li. I was just wondering, in your opinion, what car would you prefer to drive a 5 series or the 7?

The 7 is too big a car for me. A great expense has gone into interior appointment and comfort for rear passengers. The longer wheel base gives a much smoother ride.

......BUT its 5 for me. Occasional 5 seater, 4 in comfort, sports package 6sp and lots of power.

it depends on what you want.

I'll say this, as someone who considered both the 5er and 7er, the 745i is the most incredible driving experience available in a true luxury sedan. At high speeds the thing is unbelievable. Problem is (and wifey agrees) it would be hard to appreciate the 7er if you cannot drive a no-limit highway such as the autobahn. I would find it very frustrating to keep a 745 below triple-digit speeds.

That being said, I am taking delivery on my 545 this week!

Having owned both cars I personally think the 7 would be my choice don't get me wrong I love my 5er but (this may sound crazy) the 7 IMHO handles better then the 5...I go to the Watchung Reservation here in NJ its basically a park but I go at night time and its about a 5-6 mile run of pure winding turns...I've brought my 3 my 5 and my 7 there the 7 handled the best out of them all...but once again it comes down to what YOU wants good luck

I think you and the wifey will have the same problem with your 545.
