Just thought I'd share a quick phone snap of my new ride. I had too many issues with my 550i so after a lot of fighting with my dealer they took the car back and I moved into a 4.8i X5. It's Alpin white with a set of 21" BMW 215 rims and some fat Dunlop tires (285/30/21 front and 325/30/21 rear!!!). So far I'm really enjoying the truck....Lot's of space...great BMW drive...and pretty good power for a SUV! I'll be doing a few mods in the coming weeks staring with lowering the truck with a H&R spring set, darker tints and the X5 aero kit.

Nice looking ride. Congrats

One thing though, if you had a lot of problems with the 4.8l 550i, why move into an X5 with the same engine? Were the problems unrelated to the engine?

No engine problems at all....All related to the braking/steering.

Looks great man! Congrats. Love the black 215's. You and poleposition are twins.

Two suggestions:
  1. I noticed that you don't have the Sport Package, since you have chrome trim. You should swap for the Shadowline trim kit. That will tie everything in, nicely. Also, the X5 shadowline is high gloss, which is much nicer than what the E60's matte shadowline.
  2. Extended Wheel Arches - It doesn't look like your car came with them.

Looking forward to seeing the the car with the Aero Kit. My kit is being painted this week and will be installed later this week or early next, when I return from my business travels.

Also, if you haven't joined Xoutpost.com (formerly X5World.com), you should.

Congrats again!
