it's a sad story, but with a happy ending. So, i had a 2004 545i, bought it as a CPO with only 20,000 miles - the best car i ever owned. loved that car, so much fun to drive. then about a month ago while sitting in my living room around 10pm i hear a loud explosion in front of my house. a 19 year old girl had just driven her toyota prius into my parked car while going around 50-60 miles an hour down my street -- my car was totaled. i was devastated. my car had around 66,000 miles, going strong. just had some oil leaks from the valve covers.

so, so, so sad.
nothing else out there looked as good nor as interesting, so i just bought a 2005 545i, with 66,000 miles. same color, same options. people ask me if that was the totaled car and it was fixed because it's pretty identical. the newer one even has some options mine didn't have, and mine was pretty loaded. i'll let you know how it turns out.
one thing, the upper long dash wood trim seems to have popped out somehow near my steering wheel and won't pop back in, has this ever happened to anybody? can it be warpped? how do you fix it?
thanks.
