buying 2007 530xi with 100k what to inspect please

It is simple math the higher the millage the higher the risk of car turning into a money pit! You buying a car with 100K you are rolling the dice. Yes, you might get lucky and perhaps you have a keen eye to pick a cherry but unfortunately not everyone is like that so in that retrospect why buying yourself a headache and plus there are plenty of good low millage inventory these days!
As far as BMW inspection goes, they will gladly charge the money and do A so called inspection but remember if anything goes wrong with the car they assume 0 responsibility so I stand firm on what I said and let me simplify it;
- if you know BMW's and particularly E60 well then a high millage car makes sense.
- if you don't stay away from high millage BMW's as a general rule of thumb.

It's like someone saying, "Don't buy a used car, buy new, used cars are too risky".. although it's a rediculous statement, there is truth to it.
What is it about 100k cars, that people think they are going to explode? While a 70k car is ok? IMO, a 70k car is on the verge of requiring a bunch of maintenance. Struts, bushings, t-belt, etc.. If you buy a clean car w/100k, good chance those have already been done. If not, then don't buy it, or at least negotiate the price factoring in, the repairs it will need.

My only concern would be that its an XI. AWD drivetrain component problems are another potential bag of headaches in addition to the ones on RWD cars.
