Business NAV guys try DVD MP3 yet ?

My Ride: 545i Mystic Blue/Black Leather Type 124 Wheels
I have confirmed on 2 seperate E90 3 Series that cars with Business nav can play a DVD with MP3's ( DVD with MP3's burned to it just like a MP3 CD )
Anyone try it in the E60 yet ?
Their professional NAV doesnt have MP3 yet

My Ride: F11 520d Imperialblue - HK Sound - Panorama Roof - High Executive
I don't have NAV, but I do have Radio Professional.
It plays MP3 on CD ROM, not on DVD.
I once read that on DVD you have to stay within the limits of 200 files and around 1.5 Gb. That also didn't work.......
I think you need the DVD slot on NAV Pro to do this.......

My Ride: 2004 March E60 530i, Titanium Silver with Black Dakota Leather, Style 124 18" Alloy, Active Steering, Adaptive headlights, Auto-Dim Int+Folding Ext Mirrors, Auto Aircon Advanced, Brushed Aluminium Trim, CD Changer, Comfort Seats, De-Chrome, Dynamic Drive, Electric Glass Sun Roof, Graduate Tinted Windscreen, Heated Front Seats, Natvigation Professional, Sport Steering wheel, Sun Protection Glass, TV function
I have Nav pro but I can't get the CD Rom nor the DVD drive to play MP3 CD. Don't know what I'm missing
So does it mean no one here can play MP3 CD on E60?

My E60 with Business Nav will play MP3 files from the front loading CD/DVD drive. I have not tried a DVD with MP3 files..
If the CD is burnt with the albums in separate directories, they show up bu album on the iDrive screen. and then by song once the album is chosen.
I had a software update about 2 months ago. not sure which version.. assume 16.x or 17.x

You with Nav Pro (like me) have to wait for version 19 (I beleive in september)

Bus Nav can play MP3 burned on CD with CIP 17. and up only.
Also guys with Bus Nav and only one CD indash slot: this is just only for CD, I know that your Nav disk is DVD, but Bus Nav only reads DVD disks with Nav software+maps and CD with music.
DVD disks with multimedia files (mp3, avi....) CAN'T be played in this single indash slot. BMW ripps off us here and denies us to play DVD discs in this slot eventhough it is a DVD unit player because we only have the "cheap" BUS NAV. If we want to play DVD discs we have to pay more $$$$$$$$$$$ to get Nav Pro or DVD function / TV tuner........
But this makes me think that someone could hack n' crack it for us so we can play DVD multimedia as well

MP3 has been on E60 with Bus NAV since march , long before CIP 18
The E90 with Bus Nav ( no TV ) also only has 1 slot, and it can play DVD with MP3, so im shure they can make the E60 compatable
