75 a piece sounds very cheap. I think when I checked on my 08 they were like 200 each.

OEM and Lemforder (who makes the OEM ones) are $200+. The price for after market replacements seem to vary a lot. You can get dirt cheap ones on Ebay but the bushings probably won't last very long. I went with a name brand (Moog) middle-of-the-road part. Advance Auto sells the exact same part number I purchased for $180 and Rock Auto sells it a few bucks cheaper than Amazon, even after shipping. I went with Amazon since I'm an Amazon Prime member (free 2-day shipping). Here's a link to one of the control arms (the other side is part # RK620125).

Yeah for 75 I wouldn't even consider having bushing pressed in. 180 sounds like what I found at advance and after considering they have new ball joints I wil just get the complete unit. Did you notice a drive difference after installing ? I'm not having any symptoms but now that it has higher mileage my guess is that it's about time for them and new struts.

I went with all new arms. Febi Bilstein. They were barely more than the ones you picked up. Snagged them on eBay. 8k miles no issues. My ball joints were shot. I did the entire front. Tie rods, sway bar end links, tension arms and wishbones.

I was getting a slight clunking noise when going up my driveway and some vibration when hitting bumps / small potholes, nothing major though. I was at 75K miles so I figured they were about due for replacement plus there seemed to be a lot of give when I did the "crowbar test". The old bushings were nowhere near as stiff as the new ones but there were no tears / leaks and the ball joints seemed fine. Replacing the the control arms did elminate the clunking noise and tighted things up a bit. Nothing dramatic though since mine weren't in that bad of shape. But for $150 and an hour or so of work it was worth it IMO.

In regards to what? The bushings look the same but only time will tell if they last as long. It's only been just under 3K miles but so far, so good.

OEM are fluid filled. You can get non-fluid filled aftermarket for some models. I've not seen aftermarket x-drive non-fluid filled. I need to replace mine on my 530xi.
