Please excuse my ignorance and if this has been delt with in the past and if I get a link to a previous post I will read that with the total facination that the rest of the posts here are holding for me. Our last 5 series was a 2000 528IT with the standard headlights and foglights that I was able to switch myself with some Sylvania SilverStar bulbs reasonably easily. We have recently gotten a 2006 CPO 530i with the Xenon headlights with adaptive headlight control. While these lights seem very bright to me I read alot of posts about changing bulbs and have to wonder if I should do so, if so with what and it must be very simple since I would describe myself as mechanically challanged. Also the fog lights really seem much more yellow than the headlights. Thanks for any information and thanks to all for creating such cool place to hang out and read.
Regards
Brinson Webb

i believe you can change the bulbs for different temperature bulbs. you can go more yellow to more blue to purple.
i dont think you can go any brighter though.

Thanks for the response. The lights really are quite bright but I just didn't know about any upgrades. I really am just thrilled to have gotten the car as well as finding this great forum. Thanks again. Brinson Webb

Hey Brinson, feel free to contact me at brabusw209amg(at)gmail(dot)com. I have every lighting upgrade you can imagine for the 5 series. COngrats on ur new purchase BTW!

U cannot get just ANY generic bulbs for the BMWs. My products are guaranteed no errors, no flicker, no mess. Works just like stock.

I recommend you the following:
MTEC V2 angel eye upgrade
D1S low beam upgrade 6000K or 8000K
HID Fogs upgrade 6000K or 8000K
License Plate LEDs (pure white and 2 times brighter than stock) OR License Plate Lamps (pure white and 4-5 times BRIGHTER than stock)

Feel free to click on the links on my signature!
