Just picked up my 2004 530d e60 last week, after parting with my e39. i have noticed that the TMC indicater on the buisiness sat nav does not come on at all. i have not been very far so far only locally. I am in a area that broadcasts TMC as i can pick it up on my Naveman Sat Nav. The sat nav still has the original 2004 maps could this be the problem. PS does anybody know here i can get a cheap 2008 buisiness sat nav road map from instead of going to the dealers?

 

Your map disk has to be TMC-enabled for you to pick-up TMC info. If you're still using the original disk, then it's likely that it's not TMC enabled for that date.

Not sure where best place is for you to get an update ... could try eBay but might struggle to get the very latest version from there. Make sure you check you're getting map for Business sat nav though, as the map for Professional sat nav won't work for you.
