BT tool to register new battery?

looks like that is adequate for replacement if you are sticking to the same size battery as the one you're pulling out. there is a separate option to change the size in autologic and the bmw programmer. i upgraded to the 110Ah from the 95Ah one.

Nonford - Can you please confirm if you can do the following with your Bavtech tool?
1) Turn my DRL's off
2) Register AGM battery
3) Turn on CPT9000, the dealer replaced my idrive when it died over a year ago, and they didn't turn on my CPT9000, I have a BTUM, that I want to be able to use that plugs in directly into the CPT9000 to use the bluetooth features.
4) Install a CD Changer that I recently bought off a member.
Thx,
Sonny

I spent $250 with tax to buy one from the dealer after having bought one from walmart that might have worked but was half the weight and likely half the capacity. I have not done the reset but can't see how it could help my situation. I drive 5 miles each way to work - and in the coldness we have now - I have heated seats and steering wheel active each way
I kept the power active at all times by using a jumper battery.

Suppose you want to change your battery from 90AH to 110AH and want to register it, will the BT tool handle it? I got this response from BavarianTech
"The tool does not specify the capacity of the new battery. The tool simply sends a command to the engine control unit in the car telling it to relearn the charging needs of the new battery. The engine control unit then monitors those needs and adjusts accordingly."
Does this mean it should work regardless of the battery capacity?
