hi, i know this is a stupid question but i was wondering when break in time is over with the 535d, i heard some where that it was 1200 miles but not sure. thnx

Sorry, mine is a 545i Steptronic. Mine was 1200 miles that seemed to go by as fast as this car is on the Autobahn! :D

1200 miles and you have to keep it under 3500rpm according to the hand book.

Also.... you are supposed to vary the speed during break-in too.

So don't use cruise control. On highways, try to vary the speed some.
