Brass guide bushings for calipers

Brass guide bushings for calipers
Anyone use these brass guide bushings in there brake calipers. Noticed some rubbing noise coming from the front end and tracked it down to a loose caliper. Guess the guide bushings are shot. Anyways there supposed to take some slack out of the caliper and give a tighter brake feel. etc. Stock ones are rubber btw.

My Ride: '06 E61
I do not have these, but I have heard that these require frequent cleaning and re-lubing. I have also heard that there is no real difference in feel. Again this is here say.
