My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
I hope you bought this from a dealer, with a warranty. Mine was a simliar situation (though only a year after production), and I have had substantial warranty issues that were finally cleared by my local dealer (though bought from the dealer in Maine). Check with BMWNA to determine when your warranty expires . It may already have expired (on elapsed time) ; if so, good luck.
In any event, it's a wonderful car and I hope you enjoy it.

Just to let you guys know I picked up an 2004 545i Sport , 6 speed, with 61k miles in the US ( I live in South Florida) for $29K. I wanted to thank you guys for helping me decide and for your knowledge and help with my newbie questions awhile back.
Already have one new question the PDC doesn't work , the led on the console flashes,, any ideas? Go to the shop?
By the way, the car is awesome. Loads of power , phenomenal handling, way cool!!. Just had her a day so I'm still feeling out the limits.
Thanks again!!!

Mine takes about one hour and 15 minutes. I have heard bad experience after software upgrade. So I am very hesitate to have new version software installed. It may introduce more problems.

The 06 is just a younger trannie, more in shape, looks more feminine less wrinkles. Sorry "trannie" couldn't help it
