My Ride: 2005 545i TI Silver, Sport Pkg, Premium Sound, Cold Weather, Navigation
Well I've gone thru two sets of Dunlop RFT (second set replaced free under the Dunlop warranty) and, after BMW refused to give me another free replacement after complaining about the exact same loud ride, tramlining, etc... (BMW NA say they no longer honor the TS, I decided to go with non-RFTs and purchased a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions. I heard that the newer Dunlop RFTs may have been reformulated and better but I didn't feel like taking another chance after bad experiences with two sets.
All I can say is...WOW - what a HUGE difference it has made to the overall enjoyment of the car. Much quieter, no harsh vibrations, no tramlining, good handling - it actually feels like a performance luxury car should and is better than when I purchased the car brand new (I only wish I had done this years ago). I guess I owe BMW some thanks for not giving me another free set of Dunlops!
