Hello..I took my 04 525 in for a brake inspection last week because I could hear the brakes sweaking...On the work order it says that they changed the pads.. I still hear a slight sweak when braking..is this normal after new pads? Will it go away with time?
Also when I change gear (r to d) in a still position I hear a creaking noise from the back side of the car..Any ideas? Thanks in advance for all help

Before you worry about all that stuff posted in the thread on bimmerfest, take a look at the posts here that reference the brake wear sensor issue. There are a bunch of threads about them but here are a few of the main ones:

Well the bedding of brakes doesn't cost anything or require a service appt, so I should think one would start there as a first measure since it needs to be done to those new pads anyway. If that doesn't fix it then perhaps it is time to start changing sensors.

I just wanted you to be aware of a known issue with the brakes since the BF thread didn't mention anything about it. You can try the bedding procedure but it's likely not going to make a huge difference, in my opinion.
