There isn't really much of difference between BMW and other cars in terms of how to change brakes. Really simple DIY job. Rear pads are around $100 OEM. So $900 quoted - they must be insane, but hey it's a BMW stealer - insanity and ripoff should be expected.

$900 for rear pads? You got to be kidding. You can get pads, rotors and sensors front & rear for about $500 shipped. DIY and save big!

I have the same car, I bought Textar pad's with Zimmerman Coat Z rotors. Have been running about 2k miles on them so far, they are legit! Gluck.
