Brake Torque in a Steptronic

No. There is no slippage. The brakes just hold the car motionless until one simultaneously begins putting the accelerator pedal to the floor with optimal haste and completely lets up on the brake pedal.

Your not moving, your just bring the revs up to where the torque convertor will lock up immediately (if done right) for a nice launch.

It might cause brake pads wear if you are not holding the brakes to their max. If slippage starts occuring before launch, you brake pads will certainly be worn out.

I was wondering what is the max rpm you guys are able to achieved using brake torquing before you release the brake pedal. My max is 2700 rpm due to my relatively weak engine (170 bhp),
