brake pads & rotors change at dealer or indy?

I am not questioning any of the practices of Trinity. I am simply saying that if the rotors were made directional and they were un aware and the company shipped them out unaware. They are installed usual and customary and then this happens. It can happen. Your symptom of heated rotors came up and there are only a few ways you can get a heated rotor
There are a lot of stuff we dont know about your car,@99k do the calipers function correctly, equal clamping, does it pull etc...some many variables

Op, if it's ok can you pm me the brand of the rotors so down the line, I can stay away from it. I love the look if the drilled rotor but if it might cause any problem such as yours, I rather stay away from it.

buy a factory oe replacement for best durability. If you like, put some aftermarket pads on. The factory rotors are soft and tend not to warp as easily. However they do wear faster.

Should I order parts from Garry @ BMW of Newport & have an independent shop change my brakes or BMW dealership?
Genuine BMW brake pads & rotors I've never had problems with them except for squealing. When I slow down to a stop it would squeal so bad it was quite embarrassing. Car never vibrated when braking. 88K miles using genuine parts.
I had Trinity Autosports change 4 rotors & 4 brake pads which was suppose to silence my brake squeal. I chose Cool Carbon because a lot people on various forums said it's very quiet and Trinity recommended it as well. They sprayed anti brake squeal, worked for a while but after 5 or so car washes squeal is back. They even tied up my brake sensors which I thought was a great idea so they don't touch my pads.
At 99K miles less than one year I took my car into Firestone and bought their lifetime alignment service since my steering wheel shakes driving speeds of 60mph to 75mph. I asked them to check to see why my car shakes when braking at high speeds as well.
They said my rotors overheated? They showed me large black rings on my rotors? (I'm no mechanic so I don't know if he is BS'ing me). So they recommended I change my brake pads & rotors again. I was like NO these pads & rotors are less than a year old. I am the only driver, I'm gentle with my car no hard accelerations, no hard braking. I didn't even bed in my brakes either.
Savage BMW has 2 years/unlimited miles on parts and labor warranty it will cost me ~ $1300 tax & labor included for everything.
If I went independent route it's much cheaper but not sure what type of warranty I would get for using genuine parts but having an indy shop install it?
BTW when I changed my sparks plug, my indy mechanic put my car on a lift and did a quick visual inspection bushings & control arm he said they looked okay.
Any advice is appreciated just don't want to waste money again.

I checked with Nerwyll he said there's no warranty, he's pretty good at responding back quickly via email but since has not responded back.
This bad experience and some what pricey mistake makes me kind of worried I'll waste money again when I could of spent a little more to get genuine.
I've been driving the car 80K+ miles without the slightest signs of vibrations from braking, braking at high speeds. This one change going aftermarket hasn't been good, should of put that money towards a CIC nav retrofit.
I definitely want to go back to genuine BMW parts that 24 month/unlimited miles parts & labor warranty is very appealing to me. I'll have to ask them what's considered defective and what's not...

lots of members here went with after market brakes and pads and they haven't experienced any problem. I think this is one of those one out of thousand case situation. However, I do want to know what brand those rotors are so if I can avoid it down the line.

I just did my brakes today with Akebono Euro pads and Centric rotors front and rear. Very happy so far- a little less stopping power than stock, but I'm willing to make a trade-off for lower dust. The stock pads' dust was driving me crazy. The Centric rotors were about half the price of OEM and are very solid- to me they look equal to or better quality-wise compared to the OEM rotors that came off my car.
