got an other message today when started the car. this time it was about service due so i went into the idrive menu and found out it was for brake fluid which needs changing. so the question is does it have be done at the dealers or any indy can do that and if indy has to do it then how to get rid of the service message afterwards. how much normally this fluid change costs at the dealers and how long does it take and how long that oil lasts. the car has done little over 25000miles and still under warranty. but out curiousty is it normal to have this message for brake fluid on a car that has done that much mileage. thanks for your advise.

cost $130 at Dinan BMW Shop (not dealership), go to any place that is BMW CERTIFIED shop. Check online, sometimes they have coupons $10 off for first visit.

Get it done if your idrive says so! Just do it!

It's every 2 years for brake fluid flush. If you're still under warranty it's free at the dealer under the free maintenance plan.

Oh UK sorry dunno then

It is every 2 years in the UK,it can be done by an indy but they won't reset the service warning. You can reset it yourself,it is a topic covered before,do a search if that's what you want. However, since it is still under warranty you might be taking it to the dealer for other service work so you could get a price for all work that you require.By the way,get your oil level problem sorted under warranty.
