can see my rev needle bouncing between 1500 and 2000 Hi you could have two problems] 1: low transmission fluid 2; air flow sensor first I would make sure yout fluid level is perfect in your transmission I read recently how someone had their transmission filter and fluid changed and they were having trouble since then BMW transmissions need the correct fluid level or you have trouble like you are experiencing once that is correct you can check the air flow sensor if you are still having trouble but it costs around $100 so check your fluid first |
thanks for the info mate ill go ahead and check them out

I would guess a torque converter. Take on the highway at higher speed and release the throttle pedal. If the rpm gets 300 revs or more below than replacing the tranny oil would be required.

dam that sounds a pricey job torque converter ☹️ It has has transmission fluid changed a few months back to wonder if theve done it right, how would I check ?

I see what the problem is. It has to be the no seat belt light. LOL No really I think i few days ago a software update came out on certain E60s. What year and model do you have. I didnt see that info. I doubt we can put it on the trans at this point. Are you trying to increase power when it happens? What are you feeling when it happens (slippage, power thrust, vibration) have you put a INPA on it to read whats going on? A lot of info is missing for use to help out because it could be anything with guessing. Im putting my bet on the software update though.

Seatbelt restaints 😡 Pain in the arse. its a 2007 525 m sport diesel, when I accelerate, it will hesitate untill it reaches like 70-80mph then it's fine, sometimes when slowing down also around 20mph it will do the same. There's a few issues with it being honest also vibration through the steering whilst drive and worse when I brake, had new pads, discs, balanced etc still the same.
I'll upload the inpa details see if anyone is the wiser How do I go about the software update |
So you have an n52. Go to the BMW recall site and input your VIN. I believe your car is covered. The dealership takes care of the update (since its a recall) and they should give you a loaner. Once it is there they will give you a complete list of things you need done because they are always trying to make money and you can go from there.
