It has happened to me twice now, I opened the boot while the car was locked (have done it million times) and then I tried to close the boot, it would not lock and jump righ off the lock as if it was still locked and I was trying to close the locked boot. Attempting to open the lock (unlocking) and then closing the boot again helped.

Not that I am really worried, but considering the electrical on these cars, it might happen again or permanently. Has anyone exeperienced it and know what was the cause and is there anything to be concerned about???

Cheers.

Do a search on this subject. I have mentioned the probably cause before. Basically, you probably have broken wires where the wires enter the trunk hinge on right side. Pull wires out enough to inspect and repair as needed (requires disconnecting all wires at trunk lid electrical devices).

This has been happening to me lately on my car as well. Sometimes, the trunk will close but then my license plate lates won't be on and I'll have to open and close the trunk over and over until they decide to stay on. Stood there once for 20 minutes opening and closing lol. Never figured out what it was...

Well, now you know the cause and solution. Go out and repair the wires.
