Screwed up the title and ended up posting three times!
The post is as follows:
After making another appointment (number 7 in 8 months) to take my 545i (2004 with 8100 miles) to the dealer to fix the sunroof, the I-Drive (no "BMW Assistance" menu) and the storage bin lid between the front seats (won't open when cold) and complaining bitterly about feeling like a beta tester for Microsoft, they offered to exchange my car for another 545i with the details to be worked out tomorrow.
Does anybody have any experience with this so called "exchange program"?
Any suggestion/info will be greatly appreciated.

My Ride: 2005 545i SMG. Titanium Grey with Grey interior and Anthracite wood.
BMW took my car back and gave me my money back. I would recomend doing this rather than taking a new car. This way you walk away from your car and take advantage of the current great lease/financing options.
