Just arrived from the dealer, after upgrading to 20.02.

Even though this is old news for the forum (MP3 works), it is an important milestone for me: finally I have the spec I wanted to order almost 2 years ago.

Which reminded me of all the things I've got fixed (or added) with s/w upgrades since I got the car - AS too light, AS too heavy ;-), transmission slam, windows anti-trap behaviour, FM tuning problems inc. RDS, improved NAV, CCC crashes, voice commands and MP3. Wow! (must be forgetting something).

Would it be the same if so many functions were'nt s/w based ? Probably not.

It has been a long path, sometimes a frustrating one (remember the LED bug...), and sure, not all things are s/w fixable (door seals, arghhh).

But given the fact that there are no error free designs, hardware or software based, beeing on the s/w side of things really gives us the nice feeling of a good wine: the older (generally) the better.

Cheers.

Well, I got 20.02 and BTUM and now, am missing UP window auto/one-touch. Haven't really noticed change in AS, although it may be a bit less exagerated. Auto headligths react faster to change, but still are on too often in broad daylight. Car seems to fire faster and more crisply in the morning. Otherwise, I'm still getting the Electronic System failure warning that drives me nutz, almost daily. So far, it still resets itself....but when will it really fail?

the window auto/one touch close has nothing to do with CIP software..... your car was flashed or the battery disconnected so you have to program the windows.... this has been on many cars already....
I do not the exact procedure with E60 but mostly it is to roll down the window all the way down and up again..... on Audi it was done by the key in the door lock holding in open position untill windows go down and then close position untill all windows go up......

anyone with the exact procedure for E60?
